What is Shift-Left?
Shift-Left is based on the idea that software development teams should focus on quality, they work on problem prevention instead of detection, and begin testing earlier than ever before. The goal is to shorten long test cycles, reduce the possibility of unpleasant surprises at the end of the development cycle or the production cycle and, in the end, increase quality.
Two DevOps practices are required to “shift left”: Continuous Testing and Continuous Deployment.
